The Cape, A Thompson Hotel
Effortless luxury at The Cape
Location: Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Best season to visit: October to April
Plus: Whale season
We spent two nights at this spectacular property, and it captivates you from the very first moment.
Its exterior, with its signature dark façade, evokes the charm of an old building full of history. But as soon as you cross the entrance and walk down the green path, a breathtaking scene is revealed: the dazzling shores of the Sea of Cortez unfolding before you.
From the moment you arrive, the team welcomes you with the perfect balance between a relaxed style and refined luxury standards.
The hotel's horizontal architecture is carefully designed so that every room enjoys an uninterrupted view of the ocean, a subtle but powerful detail.
The rooms are warm and welcoming, with a distinctive fragrance, curated amenities and a traditional Mexican-style minibar. One of the biggest surprises? A bed-style swing, where I recommend watching the sunset with your favorite person.
The saltwater pool feels more like a spa experience than a simple dip, and the service at the pool bar is exceptional: sophisticated yet relaxed, with no excessive music or party atmosphere.
Falling asleep to the soft sound of the sea and enjoying fresh seafood every day felt like a true privilege, one I wish everyone could experience at least once.
